Jesus asked:

i don’t mean like kung fu fancy moves and dances, like moves that wont leave openings and make you an easy target, i know it’s recommended to learn all types and get the most beneficial techniques and stuff but which one builds up on your defenses, technique, skill, and discipline, and teaches you more on the art of fighting that’s good at grappling and/ or striking martial arts

The King in Yellow asked:

I’m 21 years old, and I have more white hairs than naught. I am a very tense individual, and have a hard time relaxing, especially since I kicked my weed habit. At the same time, I feel like I am lazy, which is a quality I THOROUGHLY DESPISE. Is there some method of self-discipline/concentration I can use to increase my energy and confidence, while at the same time helping me relax and bring me out of depression. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

I have a 3 1/2 year old son that does not behave. I am looking for discipline techniques that work but do not *****. I am so tired of everyone in this family(grandparents, aunts, …) thinking that ******** is the only way. Is it??? Today my son wanted to watch some DVD. I said not right now and he grabbed the remote and headed for the toilet. I barely caught the remote from landing in the water. Clearly he knew this was wrong. When I firmly tried to explain NO and why, he yelled “AHHHHH” and ignored me. Then when I took him out of the bath tub tonight when he wanted to stay longer, he peed on me in protest. My husband said I should have gotten a belt and blistered his ****. I just don’t see how that is teaching him. I did not have this problem with my older kids. I guess I was lucky they were pretty well behaved. I know the Nanny shows teach how to disciple without ********. I have both books…but other than time outs, I can’t relate my sons disobedience to their issues. Time outs are a screaming fight. There has to be a better way to lovingly handle a strong willed child. Yes, it would help if this family were all on the same page with discipline. But the only discipline my husband and his mother believe in is ******** and “breaking the spirit.” What can I do?
